    Right side (grip side) free.

The look of this cage is nice. I like the minimalist design, little metal, light but sturdy. The Cage is important for protection of camera, but weight and light is even more important for me. I dont like the part of the cage in the grip side (right side). It changes the grip of the camera and I would it to be free. Also the left side could be in style "nato", Because it's the most pratical side for attack it nato handle, monitor and other support nato smallrig. I would also that base plate the cage is Arca swiss compatible without to attack some plate. like some cage for sony that you made it.

Nice! but, still not versitle enough for me.

So right now I am in the process of awaiting for some parts to arrive through mail. So I can finish making my Smallrig GH5 Cage a modular setup. Now I have see. Some stuff on here that is nice but still looks to bulky. I have currently picked parts off parts of other cams that Smallrig makes. When I am done. I will be sure to load up pics both here and COOLLCD facebook page to share how I make a GH5 cage go from a tripod to a shoulder rig and then with adding one other piece (that has multiple pieces already together) and transferring the handles from one position to another will transform it into the fig rig I heard about in the previous review. So right now I am building for the GH5 specifically but, after doing measurements after measurements. I believe I made a rig that can handle any dslr cams and other professional cinema cams. I used to be in love with manfrotto, tilta and couple other great brands but after trying the smallrig and learning how many parts and other things you can add to build a specific rig. I fell in love and can't wait to keep expanding with smallrig products.

    Please add more metal!

The whole backside of the camera is exposed, please add more metal coverage. The big reason to have a cage is to protect the camera from falls and transportation. Right now the camera is too exposed. Please cover it as much as possible with metal!
    Thank you

    More Extensions!

    Hi friends!
I have come across your products before but have not looked too far into them. From the looks of things, this is a product that expands how much stuff you can attach to your camera and that's fantastic!! Personally, I think it would be cool to make this a stabilizing rig in some way and it is very easy. At the moment, there is one vertical handle that users can utilize on the right side (he grip on the camera). If you had a similar handle on the left side (none there now) you would essentially be building a compact fig rig. People can grip the camera the same way from both sides and that makes holding it easier and provides some stabilization.

I can't wait to see this thing come out! Thanks for the preview!
